July 19th
Zack went on his first outing today! Zack, his brother Levi, and another patient and friend of Zack's named Nick all went to the movies! One of his occupational therapists took them. Last week Zack hesitantly tried out a power wheelchair and had it mastered in about 3 minutes! He's now "zippin" around the entire hospital grounds. He's got some independence. The nurses have to come looking for him but encourage Zack to get out. You won't find him in his room now. He's still smiling and enjoys visitors, but be careful - he may run you over!

Hey Zack, I was so suprised to learn that you live near Y.L. When i saw your post, it hit home. Iv kinda been down a similiar road, and more than once, 3 months ago i broke my neck, so Im around if you ever wana hang out and trade stories, Stay strong buddy!

So good to hear that you are cruising around the halls on your new ride. Paint it green and put some kawasaki stickers on it! When desert season comes around, we need to get you in the rhino.
