Home!!

So good to be home, but quite an adjustment! Missing the nurse's call button.

We've already started at Project Walk in Carlsbad. Zack absolutely LOVES it. He's so happy, he said he could be here all day and feels welcome. So cute!

I'm so happy! ~Amber

  3. Hi Zach and Family.

    God bless all of you.

I thought this may be the best place to leave a comment that you will see because it's under the top picture on the blog...

I am Rob, the younger brother of Jeannette Lewis, who lives across the street from you.

My sister Jeannette and her husband, my brother-in-law, Steve were the ones who told us about Zach.

Jeannette brought your flier over to us (me and my mom and dad)and told us everything.

That's when we all started our prayers for you.

I pray every night for your family, but the one thing I pray for most is for 'MOVEMENT.'

Because of all the prayers and support going on for Zach, I believe in my heart already that Zach will get his movement back...but that's me...YOU all have to believe this, and it shall be done.

I believed Zach would get his movement back some day anyway, but yesterday when Jeannette came over to help my mom with her hair, she told us Zach moved his foot. I remember pumping my fist.

    We were all pleasantly surprised.

Jeannette also told us that the spine in Zach's head was only 'bruised' on the inside and nothing was torn or anything....

Now I don't know all the details of the injury, but that to me spells "future m-o-v-e-m-e-n-t baby!"

I believe you all feel the same...so let's all keep praying, among other things, for 'movement.'

This week, Zach, it was your foot.

Next week, let's get your other foot... and so on, and so on, and so on. :)

    Now...here's the REAL cool part...

Jeannette also told us yesterday that Zach's having a Friday the 13th Birthday.

    You know what?

    Me too!

That's right Zach, you and I are "Birthday Brothers."

As you will celebrate yours with good friends and family, I will be out with my friends too.

But Zach, take a guess what my wish is gonna be when I blow out MY candles?

    "Happy Birthday Brutha!"

    ... and BELIEVE!

  4. Hi Zach! My name is Linda. Since I read the article about you in the Register I have been praying for your complete healing everyday. I have a grandson who's 15 and your situation touches my heart so. I'm so happy that you are home now, but I am soooo happy for you that you have had movement in your foot! That is great progress! God bless and heal you Zach. Know that you are in my pleading prayers to God everyday. And...Happy Birthday to you!! Linda :)

  5. Hi Zach!
My son Colby is on the wrestling team at YLHS. He met you there. Since the day I found out about your accident, I have checked this blog about you and your progress. Positive thinking, prayers and determination will get you and your family through this! I met a young lady by the name of Natalie Buchoz a few weeks back. She was 16 when she had a skiing accident and suffered a spinal cord injury. Talking with her and her mother, they truly believe that Project Walk is the best thing they have done for Natalie's progress!! I hope that you get the financial support you need to go to Project Walk!!! She has heard of your story and everyone out here is praying for you!! I hope to see you around YLHS in the Fall!!
    Love, The Briscoe Family
